Cleaning
Odd prices are flagged, not hidden.
Before any listing counts as evidence, four rules run in order. What's dropped is dropped for a reason, and what's doubtful stays in view with a flag.
- Implausible prices dropped Typing errors and placeholder prices never reach a comparable.
- Outliers dropped Anything outside 0.4 to 2.5 times the trim's median.
- Each known VIN counted once At its cheapest advert, when the same car is listed twice.
- “Check this price” Adverts 40% or more under the median are flagged and kept.
Evidence grade
Every number says how much to trust it.
DealRevs looks for the narrowest group of at least five comparables, widening step by step and showing each widening. The grade falls when the match or the data is weaker.
What lowers the grade
Left the market
Gone is not the same as sold.
A car missing from two consecutive complete runs is marked “left the market”. Relists, site outages and a feed that shrinks by more than 30% don't count. It's a proxy for a sale, not proof.
Market search
Every listing rated against its own market.
Search in plain English or Arabic. Each result gets one of five ratings against cars like it, and “Not rated” when there are fewer than five comparables. Seller names and advert VINs never leave the server.
See a search on the home pageDays to sell
From real exits, never the age of live adverts.
- Your own sales of the model
- Otherwise, cars like it that left the market
- Otherwise, a 45-day default
How long an advert has been up, “days listed”, is never used as days to sell.
The catalogue
Pick any car from about 75 years of models.
Synced daily from AutoData. AutoData's book values are labelled reference values, refreshed monthly at best, and are never shown as market prices.
Questions about the data
Is this live data?
No. DealRevs reads the market once a day from 06:00 Gulf time, and every figure carries its as-of time. If a run is late, screens say Delayed and show the time of the data they're using.
Where do the listings come from?
About 200,000 UAE classified listings from sites such as dubizzle, DubiCars and YallaMotor, supplied by AutoData. Counts are listings, not unique cars.
If a car disappears, was it sold?
Not necessarily. A car missing from two consecutive complete runs is marked “left the market”. Relists, site outages and a feed that shrinks by more than 30% are excluded. It's a proxy for a sale, not proof.
Are book values used?
When market evidence is weak, AutoData's reference value can anchor the offer, and a person confirms it. Reference values are refreshed monthly at best and are never shown as market prices.
Which countries can use DealRevs?
All GCC countries. The daily snapshot reads UAE listings.
Do seller names or VINs from adverts show up?
No. Seller names and advert VINs never leave the server.
